This is the Game Jam version of the game "FEAR FABLES: UMBRA PROTOCOL",  developed for the Hawktober Horrors 2024 Game Jam. A separate, more up-to-date version may be found at https://glitchedlizard.itch.io/umbra-protocol-game, however if you are playing with the intent to rate it in the Game Jam, please download and play this one.

The game has a couple minor bugs present. Due to the rules of the Hawktober game jam, this version of the game will not be updated. So uh, go easy on me :D

KNOWN BUGS: (MINOR SPOILERS BELOW)

- Upon clicking the Try Again button on the Game Over screen, your save gets wiped! This is a leftover from the previous game that used this survival horror framework of mine. You will not lose your inventory or your checkpoints unless you close the game after clicking it, but you WILL lose collected Logs, and items that should not be respawning might end up respawning. This bug also resets the randomized passcode to one of the doors. In the event this happens, the passcode is 111505. Try not to exploit this :p (If you DO try to exploit it for a better ranking, it won't work! The game checks for exact values. Go higher than the max and it won't count.)
- Upon respawning after collecting the SMG, it will be positioned incorrectly on the player's camera. Reloading or re-equipping it through the pause menu will fix this.
